Martin Buchanan performs scenes from his one-man play, an adaptation
of Sight Hound, Pam's first novel, released in 1995.
While you may think you know
Pam through her autobiographical writing style, you may be surprised
to learn more about her life. "People often think they know me after
reading my books, but I am usually pretty different than they expect."
says Houston.
Pam divides
her time between her ranch outside Creede, Colorado, and the University
of Califonia at Davis, where she is director of the Creative Writing
Program. Her books include Cowboys Are My Weakness, Waltzing the
Cat (winner of the Willa Literary Award), A Little More About Me,
and Sight Hound. Her stories have been in The Best American Short
Stories, 1990 and 1999, and The Best American Short Stories of the
Century. Pam has written for numourous magazines including, Oprah’s
magazine, O, Elle, Outside, Ski, New York Times Travel Magazine,
Golf Digest, Allure and many others.
